Kan. pilot injured after small plane strikes power line

LABETTE COUNTY—One person was injured in a small plane accident just before 1:30p.m. Saturday in Labette County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1992 Cozy Club Fixed Wing Aircraft piloted by Michael R.  Ribordy, 26, New Strawn, Kansas, was attempting a landing at a private grass strip at 1502 21000 Road in Parsons.

Upon approach, the aircraft struck a power line causing it to nose the ground.

 EMS transported Ribordy to the Labette County Health for treatment of a suspected serious injury, according to the KHP.
