Wanted Kansas suspect caught transporting drugs

BROWN COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.

Just after 11p.m. Monday, a Brown County Detective initiated a traffic stop in the vicinity of 210th  on U.S. 73 Highway based on an expired registration, according to Sheriff John Merchant. 

The detective discovered that  the driver of the vehicle identified as 50-year-old Daniel Jennings of Hiawatha had a suspended license.

The passenger in the vehicle 37-year-old Tara Hamilton of Huron had an  outstanding  FTA Warrant out of Atchison

The detective arrested Jennings on requested charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License Cancelled, Suspended or Revoked, No Proof on Insurance and Illegal Vehicle Registration.  Hamilton was arrested on requested charges of Possession of Meth, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Opiate and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia as well as the Warrant.
