Motorcyclist injured in crash with wanted Kansas woman has died

SHAWNEE COUNTY —A man injured in a 2-vehicle crash last month in Topeka has died.

On Monday, police reported  29-year-old Joshua P. Harmer, 29, of Topeka died on December 22, according to police spokesperson Rosie Nichols.

Just after 11:30 p.m. Dec. 20, police responded to an injury crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle near SW 29th Street and SW Topeka Blvd. in Topeka.

First responders found the two vehicles had crashed. An ambulance transported the driver of motorcycle later identified as Harmer to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries and he died.

The driver of the other involved vehicle was identified as Shana L. Estes, 36, of Topeka. It was determined that she had a warrant for her arrest and she was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on that warrant.  Police have not indicated whether Estes faces additional charges in the case.
