KANSAS CITY —One person was injured in a fire on Tuesday at a home in Kansas City.
Just before 2:30a.m. Kansas City Fire Department companies were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 2600 block of Lawn Avenue, according to Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.
The first arriving company reported smoke and fire showing from a 2-story residence and initiated an offensive fire attack. Two hose lines were advanced into the structure to extinguish the fire, which was brought under controlat 2:41 a.m., according to Nolan.
EMS transported one occupant of the house to a local hospital for burns sustained in the fire. Authorities did not have an update on his condition. The cause of the fire is under investigation by KCFD.
