WASHINGTON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 4:30p.m. Friday in Washington County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1986 GMC S pickup driven by Hunter L. Wohlbrandt, 23, Wakefield, was southbound on Kansas 119 at Kansas 9 one mile South of Greenleaf.
The driver failed to stop at a stop sign prior to entering the intersection. A 2002 Chevy Tahoe driven by Lindsay I. Gray, 15, Waterville, struck the pickup.
EMS transported Wohlbrandt to Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln where he died. EMS transported Gray and a passenger Brian T. Gray, 47, Waterville, to the Washington County Hospital. Wohlbrandt was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
