Pilot in Kan. avoids injury after crop duster lost landing gear

SHERMAN COUNTY—A pilot avoided injured after a incident while landing just after 3:30p.m. Sunday in Sherman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported an Air Tractor crop duster piloted by Rosemarie L Surette, 48, Vail, Colorado, was attempting to land at Goodland Municipal Airport.  The aircraft caught a gust of wind, came down and rotated, snapping off the left landing gear.

Surette was not injured. The KHP released no additional details. The incident remains under investigation.
