SHERIDAN COUNTY —Two people died in a small plane crash just after 6p.m. Sunday in Sheridan County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a YKC Fixed Wing Single-Engine Airplane piloted by David K. Allen, 78, Elbert, Colorado, was northbound and crashed in a field 10 miles north of Hoxie near Kansas 23 and one mile West on County Road 10.
Allen and a passenger Jeanne M. Allen, 79, Elbert, Colorado, were pronounced dead at the scene. The FAA and NTSB are in charge of the investigation.
