JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for an alleged violent attack on a woman.
Just afater 5:30p.m. Monday, sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a man beating a woman in the 22000 Block of Q. Road south of Holton, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
The male suspect allegedly fled on foot in a wooded area. The Sheriff’s Office sent out an alert to warn residents to secure their doors and vehicles.
Deputies started a search using a drone which located the suspect in the wooded area. An aircraft from KHP and a K-9 Team from Topeka Police also assisted with the incident.
Just after 7:30p.m., deputies took the suspect identified as 30-year-old Daniel Markus Martin into custody. Martin was booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of aggravated domestic battery, felony fleeing and eluding law enforcement and felony interference with law enforcement.
