
WICHITA, Kan. — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office arrested an off-duty detention deputy Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Sheriff's Department spokesman Branden Stitt.
At approximately 1:04 a.m. a sheriff’s deputy stopped off-duty Deputy Angel Cisneros, 21, of Wichita, for traffic violations in northwest Wichita. During the traffic stop, Cisneros showed signs of impairment. He was arrested and booked into the Adult Detention Facility on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Cisneros has been employed by the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office since September 2023. The incident will be investigated through both the criminal and internal investigative processes.
