
SEDGWICK COUNTY — A man accused in a shooting that critically injured a teen girl and a man made a first appearance in court Dec. 30.
Tmori Wright, 24 of Wichita, is charged with 2 counts of attempted 1st degree murder, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
Just before 6a.m. Dec. 27, police were dispatched to a shooting in the 1100 block of North Harding in Wichita, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo. Officers located a 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl with multiple gunshot wounds. The teen had been shot over a dozen times.
The victims were transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The two victims underwent surgery and were reported in critical condition.
Following an investigation, police arrested Wright. Attorneys are scheduled to discuss the case with Judge Quentin Pittman on Jan. 9. Wright remains jailed on a $250,000 bond, according to the district attorney's office.
