Kansas couple accused of burglary, using stolen credit card

ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man and woman for alleged burglary and theft.

On August 24, police investigated a theft of a financial card from a residence in the 400 block Mound in Atchison, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.

Just after 6p.m. Oct. 9, police arrested 32-year-old Mary C. McDonald and 30-year-old Jacob Camp both of Atchison.

McDonald is accused of unlawful entry into that residence and taking a financial card belonging to a 70-year-old victim.

Camp is being held on requested charge that involves unlawfully using that financial card at several area retail stores in amounts totaling around $850.

She is being held on a District Court warrant for aggravated burglary and a requested charge of theft by deception, according to Wilson. In 2016 and in July of 2020, police arrested McDonald on requested charges of domestic battery and interference with law enforcement.

She remains jailed on a $30,000 bond, according to online jail records. He remains in custody on a $15,000 bond.
