
SEDGWICK COUNTY — A man accused in connection with a fatal crash that killed a motorcyclist made his first court appearance Wednesday.
Serafin Hernandez-Torres, 57 of Wichita, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.

Just after 5:30p.m. May 22, police responded to the crash between a pickup driven by Hernandez-Torres and motorcycle driven by 27-year-old Allan Smith of Wichita near the intersection of Harry and Water in Wichita.
EMS transported Smith to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police arrested Hernandez-Torres. He remains jailed on a $150,000 bond and is due back in court June 9, according to the district attorney's office.
