KANSAS CITY—A pedestrian run over by a bus in a crosswalk in Kansas City on Sunday died of her injuries, according to&nbsp;KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino..

Just after 1p.m. Sunday, the pedestrian was inside a marked crosswalk, crossing 6th Street at Wyandotte from south to north, according to DiMartino.

A passenger bus was making a left turn from southbound Wyandotte to eastbound 6th Street. The bus struck and ran over the pedestrian and then left the scene without stopping.

EMS transported the pedestrian to a local hospital in critical condition.&nbsp; Just after 6p.m. police reported the bus had been located and the driver was cooperating.

DiMartino confirmed the woman died of her injuries on Monday afternoon.&nbsp;&nbsp;This is fatality #76 compared to #80 at this time last year. The incident remains under investigation.
