KANSAS CITY —First Lady Jill Biden visited the Truman Library Wednesday afternoon to highlight their programming to support civic literacy and education in the local community, according to her press secretary.
She joined William Chrisman High School students who participated in a civics education simulation. Former President Harry Truman and wife Bess graduated from Chrisman High School.
Dr. Biden worked as a classroom teacher for over 30 years, advocating for increased educational opportunities for all students, of all ages, is close to her heart, according to her bio on the White House web site.
Dr. Biden attended a fundraiser for President Biden's 2024 campaign Wednesday night.
