DOUGLAS COUNTY —A teen driver was injured in an accident early Tuesday in Douglas County.

Just after 1:30a.m. a westbound driver on U.S. 56 Highway located a woman walking eastbound four miles east of the Osage County Line or in the 400 Block of N 300 Road, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's office.

Deputies determined the 18-year-old was the driver in a rollover crash that occurred earlier.  Deputies located the driver's 2003 Dodge Caravan about 200 yards from the highway.

EMS transported the teen to Stormont Vail in Topeka for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening.  The Lawrence Humane Society took the teen's dog while she was taken for hospitalization.  The sheriff's office released no additional details.
