ANDERSON COUNTY —A fire on Thursday destroyed the Colony Community Church, 322 S. Garfield Street in Colony , according to a social media report from Colony City Marshal.
Pastor Alex asked "for prayers for the congregation of this vibrant church community. On Friday evening the church family held a vigil and prayer service in the Crest USD 479 parking lot just north of the site of the fire.
"The church building is gone but our church family and faith is not."
The cause of the fire has not been released. There were no injuries reported.
