KANSAS CITY— A Kansas City Fire Department firefighter-paramedic died Tuesday during a training exercise, according to the city.
Just before noon, KCFD crews conducted a training exercise when a member of the fire department experienced a medical emergency.
He was taken to North Kansas City Hospital and was pronounced dead at 1 p.m. He was a ten year veteran with KCFD with the Rescue Division at Station 35, according to the city.
The firefighter's name has not been released.
