SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug allegations.
Just after midnight On Monday, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on a black 1992 Chevrolet Silverado near NE Jefferson Street and NE Paramore Street for an alleged traffic violation, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
During the investigation, illegal narcotics, open containers of alcohol and a stolen license plate were located.
Ryan W. Brooks, 36, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections. Brooks on requested charges of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, transporting an open container of liquor, driving while license suspended, no vehicle liability insurance, improper display of license plate and improper turn signal.
