Kan. deputies found bags of crystal meth thrown from vehicle

SUMNER COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating alleged drug distribution after a traffic stop.

Just after 11:30 a.m. May 3, Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on U.S. 160 Highway in rural Sumner County, according to a social media report from the Sheriff's Office.

During the stop, Deputies noticed two bags thrown from the vehicle. During the search, 3.6 pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine and 1 gram of Marijuana ere discovered in the bags, along with other distribution materials.

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office has deputies assigned to the Wichita Property and Crimes Task Force. Through this partnership, information was shared the subject operating the vehicle maybe involved in Illegal Drug activity.
