
JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating four suspects on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.
Just before 2:30a.m. March 17, a Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a 2012 Chrysler 300 near Arizona Avenue and Banner Road in Holton, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

Deputies placed four occupants from the vehicle under arrest. The driver, James Michael Johnson, 62, of Leavenworth, was jailed on requested charges of possession of a hallucinogenic drug and drug paraphernalia.

Charles Ernest Hidy, 68, of Lees Summit, Missouri, was jailed on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hallucinogenic drug.

Shelly Jo Straub, 50, of Leavenworth, was jailed on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, felony interference with law enforcement, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing a hallucinogenic drug.
Ashley Joy Hooper, 37, of Blue Springs, Missouri, was jailed on requested charges for interference with law enforcement and transporting an open container.
