JOHNSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating an incident involving a dog bite and continue asking the public for help to locate the animal.
The incident occurred just after 2p.m. Thursday near W95th and Mission Road in Overland Park, according to a media release from police.
The dog was described as a 30-pound lack, brown and white short-hair terrier. Police described the dog's owner as a slender Asian woman with dark hair, approximately 25-39 years old. The dog was on a leash when the bite occurred. EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
Police asked anyone with information on the dog or its owner to contact them.
