KANSAS CITY—Former President Donald Trump finally endorsed a candidate in the tight U.S. Senate Race in Missouri.
A statement from Trump late Monday afternoon said he endorsed “ERIC” without saying whether it was Attorney General Eric Schmitt or former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens.
Greitens later wrote on his social media page that Trump endorsed him.
A short time later Schmitt did the same.
In June Facebook removed a campaign video by the Republican Missouri U.S. Senate candidate Greitens that showed him brandishing a shotgun and declaring that he’s hunting RINOs, or Republicans In Name Only.
