Police: Kansas man wanted for murder of 16-year-old boy

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Topeka Police are asking the public for help in locating Nassir Tiriq Gill, 20, of Topeka, in reference to homicide investigation.

Just before 1a.m. November 22, 2025,  police responded to several reports of gunshots around SE 37th Street and SE Adams Street in Topeka. While officers were investigating that area, they received information on a subject arriving at a local hospital by private vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim later identified as 16-year-old Kingston Scott of Topeka was pronounced deceased.

As a result of the investigation police have arrested two 16-year-old boys from Topeka on  charges including murder, Criminal discharge of firearm; Occupied vehicle with great bodily harm and Aggravated Assault; Use of a deadly weapon

 Gill is being sought for the following charges Murder in the 1st degree, Criminal discharge of a firearm; at occupied vehicle with great bodily harm, Criminal discharge of a firearm; recklessly at occupied dwelling and Criminal damage to property.
