KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just after 7p.m. Friday in Kansas City, Missouri.
A medium-sized SUV was northbound from Raytown and struck a pedestrian at 46th and Blue Ridge Cut Off, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino. The pedestrian was either walking along the roadway or attempting to cross it.
EMS pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. The driver remained on scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation.
This incident represents Fatality #58 for the year, compared to #82 at this time last year, according to DiMartino.
