SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal crash and fire have identified the victim as Donna O'Reilly, 69, of Wichita, according to Sedgwick County Sheriff's Lt. Benjamin Blick.
Just before 8p.m. Monday, O'Reilly was a passenger in a 2003 Buick Regal that was southbound in the 5300 Block of West Street. The car left the roadway, struck a tree east of West Street and caught fire.
O’Reilly was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported the 73-year-old driver and husband of the deceased to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, according to Blick.
