SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a reported accidental shooting that sent a 13-year-old to the hospital.
Just after 6p.m. Monday, police responded to a home in the 4300 block of South Bernita in Wichita, according to Wichita police.
The 13-year-old and a 16-year-old brother were playing with a gun that went off. The gunshot hit the younger child in the head. EMS transported the child to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police released no additional details including the name of the family.
