KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just before 1a.m. Tuesday in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez, a BMW 230I was traveling on the exit ramp from eastbound Interstate 670 to southbound 71 Highway at a high rate of speed.
The BMW failed to negotiate the curve of the ramp and traveled off the roadway to the left, down the grassy embankment and struck a concrete bridge support pillar. The driver and sole occupant of the BMW was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is Fatality #63 compared to #89 at this time last year, according to the Gonzalez.
