
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a double homicide and asking the public for help to find a person-of- interest.
Just before 7p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of N. Kansas Avenue, in the popular NOTO Arts District in Topeka, according to Assistant Police Chief Jennifer Cross.
First responders located one male victim who was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second male victim was transported to a local hospital and succumbed to his injuries.
A local business provided police with photos of a person of interest. Police have not released the names of the victims or additional details.
Anyone with information regarding this individual is asked to call 911. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
