
SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after visitors to KDOT East Lake discovered the body of an adult male in the water Friday afternoon.
At approximately 1:42 p.m. Friday, deputies, along with Bel Aire and Park City police officers and Sedgwick County Fire District 1, responded to a report of a body in KDOT East Lake in the 1400 block of East 45th Street North, according to Sheriff's Department spokesman Branden Stitt.
Firefighters recovered the man’s body from the lake.
Detectives and the Sedgwick County Coroner’s Office are investigating the circumstances of his death and working to identify him.
