Man admits selling fentanyl that killed Kansas man

JOHNSON COUNTY—A man has admitted responsibility for a fatal fentanyl overdose death.

Earlier this month, 20-year-old Hugo Caesar Guzman, Jr. pleaded guilty to distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death of Wesley Howard of Garnder in 2022, according to the Johnson County District Attorney's office.

In October 2023, Guzman was charged with distribution of drugs causing death and two counts of fentanyl distribution.

He is scheduled for sentencing September 2.
