Rolling Hills Zoo
Rolling Hills Zoo is seeking a dedicated individual to join our animal care team as a full-time Temp Keeper late September 2023 thru January 2024. If you're mature, dependable, and available on weekends and holidays, this could be your dream job!
Responsibilities include animal diet prep and maintaining water delivery systems, cleaning indoor and outdoor animal exhibits, performing minor maintenance on buildings, yards and surrounding areas, ensuring animal containment and performing daily inspections of assigned areas.
Animal team members present Keeper Talks to the public as assigned and provide public education at animal exhibits as the situations arise. They must present a friendly, courteous, and helpful demeanor to all guests at all times, have strong people skills and work well with others. Strong teamwork, communication skills and an independent and organized work style required, plus the ability to lift 70 pounds and working in all kinds of weather.
