SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged theft.
Just before 8a.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to 1301 SW 37th ST. in reference to the report of an unwanted subject.
Upon arrival, officers located the man later identified as 23-year-old Dawson Upton of Topeka, according to Lt. Edward Stanley.
Upon further investigation, police determined Upton was a person of interest in a robbery that was reported on December 31.
Police arrested Dawson on requested charges of Robbery, Criminal Threat, Theft by threat and Intimidation of witness/victim.
