MCPHERSON COUNTY – The Rush County Sheriff’s Office reported that Marilyn Jo Spangenburg, 79, was located in McPherson County, Kansas. She is now safe.
The statewide silver alert is now canceled.

RUSH COUNTY – The Rush County Sheriff’s Office requested the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) issue a statewide Silver Alert for a woman who was last seen in Rush County, Kansas, according to a media release from the KBI.
The whereabouts of 79-year-old Marilyn Jo Spangenburg, of Hutchison, are unknown and the public’s assistance is requested to help locate her.
Spangenburg was last seen at a residence in Bison, Kansas in Rush County, on Saturday, April 13 around 4 p.m. She was driving a 2008 silver Toyota Camry bearing Kansas disabled plate 54971. A family member’s vehicle was running, and Spangenburg drove away without the key fob in the vehicle, so it will not start again once it stops. Her direction of travel is unknown, however, she may attempt to travel to Great Bend or Hutchison.
Spangenburg is a white female who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 217 pounds. She has grey hair and blue eyes. She has schizophrenia and dementia.
