KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement investigating one of three homicides that occurred on Tuesday in Kansas City have identified another victim as 36-year-old Colton J Stock, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
Just after 4:30p.m. police were dispatched to the 3900 block of N Lister Avenue on a reported shooting disturbance. Upon arrival, officers located a victim, later identified as Stock, lying outside of a nearby residence suffering from apparent gunshot trauma. EMS transported him to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to Officer Gonzalez.
Officers located another adult male victim inside of the home suffering from gunshot trauma who was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates the shooting may have started over an argument. Police are working to determine the relationship between both shooting victims and identify a person of interest.
