KCPD: Man found with gunshot wound in his vehicle

KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.

Just before 6p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to a shooting at 75th and Paseo, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.

First responders were directed towards a vehicle that was stopped in the southbound lanes of Paseo. As they approached the vehicle, they located a shooting victim unresponsive inside the vehicle. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and took over. EMS transported the man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. At the hospital, the victim was declared deceased, according to Becchina.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene investigators are here at the scene processing for evidence and canvassing for any potential witnesses.Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was in his vehicle when he was shot by an unknown suspect from outside of the vehicle.
