SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a series of shootings in Topeka that left one dead and two others with injuries.
Just after 10p.m. Sunday police responded to report of a disturbance in the 3100 Block of SW Clay in Topeka, according to Lt. Edward Stanley. First responders found a shooting victim who was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Just before 11:30p..m. Sunday police responded to 4100 Block of Southwest of Twilight in Topeka, according to Stanley.
First responders found one person with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Just after 1:30.a.m. on Monday, police responded to the 1300 Block of Western Avenue in Topeka on reports of multiple gunshots in the area.
Officers found one person with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to Stanley.
Police have not released any additional details or suspect information on these incidents.
