Police: Kan. man charged $6,000 after $5 charitable donation

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating an alleged theft in Riley County.

Just before 10:30a.m. Friday, officers filed a report of theft in the 500 block of Richards Drive, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

A 30-year-old man reported he agreed to donate $5 to a charitable cause but his credit card was charged $6,000.
