
KANSAS CITY—Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire at a home in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just after noon Thursday, crews were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 4800 block of East 8th Street, according to Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.
The first arriving company reported smoke and fire showing from the rear of a 2-story residence, as well as some involvement with the neighboring homes. Crews initiated an offensive fire attack with multiple hose lines and brought the fire under control at 12:35 p.m.
Searches of the primary house, and the two neighboring structures, were completed and confirmed to be all clear. Dangerous Buildings and City Planning have been requested to the scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by KCFD.
