TANEY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 5a.m. Wednesday in Taney County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Chrysler 200 driven by a 74-year-old Branson woman was northbound on U. S. 65 near Branson Hills Parkway.
The car rear-ended a bicycle ridden by a 68-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was properly restrained and not injured. The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
