HUTCHINSON—Fire officials are investigating an incident in a food trailer that injured several people Tuesday evening at the Kansas State Fair.

At 6:25 p.m., the Hutchinson Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a fire at a concession trailer in the south corridor of the Kansas State Fairgrounds, according to a media release from the State Fair.

Crews arrived to find a concession trailer that appeared to have had a small explosion. Two people were transported to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with injuries. Several others sustained minor injuries and refused treatment and transport.

The Hutchinson Fire Marshal, in collaboration with State Fire Marshals, are currently investigating the cause of the incident. More details will be released in the coming days.
