JOHNSON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a deadly shooting that killed 51-year-old James Hart of Kansas City, Missouri, according to Olathe Police Sergeant John Moncayo
The incident occurred just before 8p.m. on Sunday, near the 2300 Block of East Willow Drive. Police responded to a report of an armed disturbance where a man was said to have been shot. Officers arrived and found Hart suffering from critical injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he pronounced deceased.
Another involved 55-year-old man was contacted at the scene.
The investigation has been reclassified as a homicide, according to Moncayo. Police have not reported an arrest.
