KANSAS CITY, Kan. —Authorities in Wyandotte County were notified that some residents are receiving messages about the Unified Government of Wyandotte County hosting day passes to watch Argentina practices for their World Cup games, according to a statement from Kansas City, Kansas Police.
"Please know that this is a SCAM and that no public passes are available for practices. The Unified Governmebnt logo was used without permission. Please ensure you receive official Unified Government-hosted and partnered event and program information on the Univerfied Government website at www.wycokck.org or through our official social media accounts.
"Please stay vigilant when accessing information online, as well as when receiving information via text and email messages. Please help spread the word about this scam."
