Police capture Kan. man wanted for child sex crimes in 2016

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating child sex crimes from 2016 have taken a wanted suspect into custody.

Just before 4p.m. Wednesday, authorities booked 30-year-old Donquez Ladale Jones into the Sedgwick County Jail, according to online jail records.

Law enforcement had issued an alert for Jones. He was last known to live in Wichita, according to a 2016 most wanted alert. Jones is being held on a $100,000 bond on requested charged of criminal sodomy with a child.

Authorities have not released details on the arrest.  He is scheduled for a control hearing on July 25, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
