Hilga Hamburg Trow, 95, Bennington, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis.&nbsp; Hilga was born January 31, 1927, on the SS Hamburg sailing on the Atlantic Ocean with her parents and brother while traveling to America.&nbsp; Hilga was the daughter of Robert and Emma (Kiefer) Rastetter.

Hilga was raised and educated in rural Bennington.&nbsp; She graduated from Bennington High School in 1945.&nbsp; Hilga went on to further her education at Ottawa, KS to obtain her teaching certificate.&nbsp; After two years of college, she started teaching in Verdi, which was a one room schoolhouse.&nbsp; She later started teaching at the Bennington Grade School and retired in 1995 after 48 years of teaching.

Hilga married Leo Trow on August 5, 1950, in Bennington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leo on November 29, 1997; dear brother Edwin; and dear sister Erma.

Hilga is survived by her son John Robert Trow of Bennington; nieces Marilyn McKee of Oquawka, IL and Kathy Hay of Olathe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467.&nbsp; Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22 at the United Church of Bennington.&nbsp; Burial will be in the Bennington Cemetery.&nbsp;

William “Butch” Robert Cochran passed away November 16, 2022, at Hays Medical Center. He was born March 24, 1961, in Albuquerque, NM to 
Billie D. and Frances E. (Jones) Cochran.

As a kid, he moved around
 a lot due to his father being in the Navy.  His family settled in 
Norton, and he was a Norton Community High School graduate. Butch worked
 for B4-A-Rent in Goodland, KS and then as mechanic for Engle’s in 
Norton. He was a huge Dungeon and Dragons fan and spent a lot of time 
painting miniature figurines. He was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs 
fan. Most of all, he loved traveling to visit his kids and grandkids 
when he was able.

Butch was preceded in death by his mother, 
Frances; sister, Connie Dale; and his friend who was like a brother to 
him, Richard Lindsay. He is survived by his father, Billie of Norton, 
KS; children: Chyanne (Brian) McDonald of Rozel, KS, Jacob (Kali) 
Cochran of Larned, KS, Kacie Palmer of Salina, KS, and Randy (fiancé 
Danielle) Cochran of Norton, KS; eight grandchildren; and many other 
family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am
 Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the First Church of God in Norton. Burial
 will follow at the Norton Cemetery.

Mary J. (Reynolds) Sedlacek Sokolik, 97, of Auburn, passed away November 10.

On November 10, 2022 Mary June (Reynolds, Sedlacek) Sokolik lost her battle against dementia. June was born June 1, 1925 to Glenn and Naomi Reynolds. 

She was born and raised in the Great Depression and came of age during WWII. There is no doubt that this forged her ability to face life with grace and without complaint. She was the third youngest of eight children raised on a farm in Kansas. 

After high school she obtained a teaching certificate and taught school for a short time. 

In 1944 Vern Sedlacek traveled to Baltimore, MD where June had gone to help care for her sister with a new baby. They were married and then went to Tennessee where Vern was stationed before being deployed to France. After the war, she and Vern raised four children on a farm in northern Kansas.

As farm women often do, she took a job in town to help support the family. For 28 years, she worked at the Safeway store where she became the head checker (at a time when all the prices were memorized) and overall store assistant. When the Safeway store closed, she took the opportunity to be the store manager for a new Casey’s convenience store. She quietly ignored a lot of the purchasing suggestions made by the corporate office and quickly grew the inventory. She did recall her fear one day when a limo pulled up in the parking lot and two men with sun glasses on got out and approached her. She thought her demise might be coming but instead it was the owner’s of Casey’s coming to award her for having the record for paying off a store.

In retirement, June moved with her second husband, Mick Sokolik to Arizona. While she missed being close to family, she loved Arizona and lived there until Mick’s death in 2010. She then returned to Auburn, KS where her daughter Laura and son-in-law Jim oversaw her care until her death.

June is remembered by her children for being a teacher of how to do things from milking a cow to sewing a blouse, as well as demonstrating the ability to carry on through difficulty. She tolerated the antics of her children and believed that being in the dirt was healthy. At a time when water was heated on the stove for baths and laundry, she admitted that sometimes it was easier to wash the sheets than four kids. She welcomed all the strays her kids brought home from a pet squirrel that sat on her shoulder while she did dishes, to the pet coyote that tormented the farm chickens, to the wayward friends of her children.

She practiced a policy of non-interference and ongoing support to how her children lived their lives. Secrets, happy or tragic, were safe with her. As grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along she saw it as her job to simply love each one as they were without judgement.

June, at the age of 97, is preceded in death by many: her parents Glenn and Naomi Reynolds; her siblings Irene Terpening, Edgar Reynolds, Lucille Mundwiler, Laura Lee Nutsch, LeRoy Reynolds and Elwood Reynolds; her husbands Vern Sedlacek and Mick Sokolik; her son Lonnie Sedlacek and great-grandson Adam Timmons.

She is survived by her sister Margreuite (Bob) Cornell; children Laura (Jim) Timmons, Larry Sedlacek, Le (Terry) Sedlacek and daughter-in-law Elaine (Lonnie) Sedlacek; stepdaughter Becky Griffin (Don) and son Logan; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside Saturday November 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at National Bohemian Cemetery (Kopsa), 2731 Queen Road, Cuba, Kansas. A lunch and time for remembrance will be held following the service at the Bel Villa restaurant located at 213 U.S. Hwy 36, Belleville, KS from noon to 4 p.m.

Dwayne was born on August 22, 1943, and in a few days, adopted by his beloved parents, Herbert and Anna Claassen, in Hillsboro. 

He grew up on the farm one-and-a-half miles from the Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church and schoolhouse, attending that schoolhouse through the eighth grade. He then went to Hillsboro High School and two years at Tabor College. Literature was his favorite college class.

As a child, one day as he and his dad drove in the garage, he told his dad that he wanted to be saved, so there with his dad he gave his life to Christ. He was baptized at the age of twelve.

Among activities that Dwayne enjoyed were water skiing, working on race car number 87 at 81 Speedway, flying his private airplanes, and driving semi-truck coast to coast. Most recently, in the mornings he enjoyed having coffee with friends at Wendy's. In the afternoons, he loved driving around the country checking fields and crops.

Dwayne married Diane Janzen in 1966. Together they had three children—Larry Royce in 1970, Russell Dwayne in 1972 and Lori Ann in 1975. A joy in his life was seeing Lori marry Robert Quicke who together gave him two grandchildren, Elliot Michael and Sophie Grace, and seeing Russ marry Chandelle Boger who together gave him two grandsons, Samuel Dwayne and Dellen Russell.

A major event in his life was meeting his birth mother when he was fifty years old, and spending time with her monthly during the last seven years of her life.

The prelude today was by one of Dwayne's favorite singers, Jimmy Fortune. Permission to use his album was requested and received. He also seldom missed the Saturday evening Gaither program on TV. The Statler Brothers were also a favorite. He listened to a daily end-times hour on his computer.

He was predeceased by his infant son, Larry Royce, his parents Herb and Anna, a sister-in-law Mary Lou Nickel, and a brother-in-law Roger Janzen.

Dwayne will be missed by his family and friends. The family thanks you for being here today.

Betty Lorraine Carver was born May 22, 1923, in Minneapolis, KS.&nbsp; She was the youngest daughter of Ethel Mae (Bishop) Carver and Levi Bert Carver.&nbsp; Betty passed away November 13, 2022 in her home at the age of 99 years, 6 months.

Betty Carver of Clyde, KS was married to Warren Coupal of Miltonvale on May 16, 1945, at the Clay Center United Methodist Church.

She graduated from Clyde High School in 1943, received her Normal Training, and then received her teaching certificate.&nbsp; She taught the next two years before getting married.

To this union was born three children, Shirley Coupal, Roeland Park, KS; Virginia Coupal-Smith, Roeland Park, KS; and Douglas and wife Michelle (Carlson) Coupal, Clay Center, KS. &nbsp;She was a great mom and participated in all of her children’s activities. 

They built their home on the family farm, a Century farm in western Clay County. Betty was a homemaker and loved to be involved with the farming operation.

She was a member of the Clyde United Methodist Church and their UMW organization, Homemakers Extension Unit, Clay County 4-H, and served on the Browndale School Board.&nbsp; Betty was also a member of the Nathan Edson Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Clay Center, KS. She served as Chapter Regent and State Chairman of Conservation for the Kansas Society, as well as a member of the Daughters of the American Colonists. She was also eligible to belong to the Mayflower Society.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Warren, parents Ethel and Levi Carver, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her three children as well as four grandchildren: Jessica (Smith) and husband Jeff Young,&nbsp; Lenexa, KS;&nbsp; Brenton Smith, Roeland Park, KS;&nbsp; Kyler Coupal and wife Shelby (Hynek) of Miltonvale, KS; and Kinsey (Coupal) and husband Trevor Cox, Clay Center, KS. Great-grandchildren include Isabella Young, Graham Young, Coleson Cox and Emma Cox.

Her life was filled with many interesting experiences. She was born prematurely at three lbs, survived several accidents, and worked hard as a farmer’s wife. They raised turkeys for a few years, but the main focus at the farm was cattle. She canned her own fruits and vegetables, and made the best apple pie. 

Betty enjoyed the friends and family that would drop in to see her.&nbsp; She loved having her grandchildren around, who got away with more than her own kids did. She taught them to play checkers and Rummy, along with having the best Pepsi parties, cookies, and ice cream. Betty may have been best known for her jokes and no one was ever a stranger to her as she had the gift to start up a conversation with anyone.

She will always be loved and missed by many!

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Betty Coupal Memorial Fund, to be designated at a later date,&nbsp; c/o the funeral home.

Visitation for Betty Coupal will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the Clay Center United Methodist Church, Clay Center, KS.&nbsp;

Tom Ray Beck was born on October 07, 1956, in Newton, KS. He is the son of Harold Leroy and Verna “Audene” (Haworth) Beck. 

Tom graduated from Remington High School in 1974. He then joined the United States Air Force. 

Tom worked for Mid-Kansas Cooperative and was the Whitewater location manager. 

Tom was a member of the Whitewater American Legion. He loved watching football, especially when the K-State Wildcats or the Kansas City Chiefs were playing. He was also a supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. In his free time, Tom loved to go camping, whitewater rafting, and skiing.

Tom, at the age of 66, passed away on November 15, 2022, at his home in Whitewater, KS. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Audene and brother Charles “Chuck” Beck. 

He is survived by his son Cory Beck; sister Margaret Calvert; nieces Caroline Beck and Suzanne Beck.

Dan’s life began on July 6, 1927, in Herington.&nbsp; He was the son of Melvin C. and Elizabeth M. (Downing) Clore. 

Dan was a graduate of Herington High School and attended Kansas University.&nbsp; 

He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1945 until 1947.&nbsp; He was on a transport ship heading to Japan when the atomic bombs were dropped, and his ship turned around and he headed to Korea. 

After the service, Dan worked as a civilian firefighter at Fort Riley and then as a crew chief and fire chief of Herington for many years. 

Dan was united in marriage to his wife Barbara on June 6, 1971, in Herington. &nbsp;

He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Herington.&nbsp; Dan was an avid Kansas City Chief’s fan and loved the Jayhawks.&nbsp; He was an excellent craftsman with wood and masonry.&nbsp; He would build anything from homes to boats, the last one completed at age 93.&nbsp; He was a 29-year member of the American Legion Post 12 in Herington. &nbsp;&nbsp;

He is survived by his children Roger (Rhonda) Clore of Park City, Sherri Williams of El Dorado, Debbie (Scott) Ginter of Hope Summit, MO, Caroline (Jerry Schlesener) McIntosh of Herington; 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and his brother Byron (CeCe) Clore of Andover.&nbsp; 

Dan passed away at his home on Tuesday November 15, 2022.&nbsp; 

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara, and daughter Colleen DeTomaso, stepdaughters Sherri Applebaugh and Brenda Hester, and great-granddaughter Sydnie Norton.&nbsp;

 His family will gather with friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at First Baptist Church where his funeral will begin at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Brian Polin.&nbsp; Dan will be laid to rest with military honors in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.&nbsp;

Daniel Melvin Clore

Josephine “Jo” Marie (Goodnough) Yakich,&nbsp;95 years young, residing in 
Westminster, Colorado, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday,
 November 2, 2022, at her home, Keystone Place at Legacy Ridge.

Jo was born in Bennington, Kansas,&nbsp;to&nbsp;Edward and Frances Goodnough on
 October 6, 1927.&nbsp; She attended high school in Hays, Kansas, graduated 
in 1945 with a music scholarship to Fort Hays Kansas State University. 
&nbsp;She went on to earn a college degree, majoring in music, from Fort Hays
 State University. &nbsp;This was a remarkable accomplishment for a young 
woman in 1949.&nbsp; That was not enough for Jo as shortly thereafter, she 
moved to the big city of Denver, Colorado where she began work as a 
receptionist at the University of Denver.&nbsp; During her early years in 
Denver, she was the First Oboist in the Denver Community Symphony (later
 the Denver Philharmonic), conducted by Dr. Antonio Brico, the first 
woman to conduct the New York Philharmonic. &nbsp;

Though music was her passion, Jo was also an exercise enthusiast 
(until she was 93!); and she enjoyed tennis, bicycling, volleyball, and 
softball.&nbsp; She met Eli Yakich Jr. at the boarding house where they both 
lived, and they married on Christmas Eve in 1950.&nbsp; They settled in 
Aurora, Colorado and Jo became an organist at St. Therese Church.&nbsp; For 
the next 40+ years, she accompanied Sunday mass (and the choir), as well
 as funerals and weddings for parishioners.&nbsp; During those years, Jo 
taught piano out of her home and was a substitute teacher while raising 
her four children.&nbsp; She continued to teach and give piano lessons for 
the next 15 years.&nbsp; After she let the school system Jo worked fulltime 
at a bank for a couple of years before joining the Aurora Municipal 
Court as a court reporter. Jo would work for the Court for 13 years 
before retiring.&nbsp;

Jo and Eli retired to Salida, Colorado, and Jo became an organist and
 choir member of St. Joseph Catholic Church there.&nbsp; All who had the 
privilege of knowing Jo would use the same three words to describe her –
 sweet, genuine and kind.&nbsp; Jo affected many lives in her 95 years, but 
none more so than her loving family who will miss her always and love 
her forever.&nbsp;

Jo&nbsp;was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Eli 
Yakich Jr.; her sister, Frances Rankin; her brother William McKinley; 
and her sister Eldora Verberg.&nbsp; Jo is survived by her children (Debra 
Yakich Montgomery of Parker, CO; David Yakich and wife Carrie of Arvada,
 Colorado; Diane Yakich Simondi and her husband Rudy of Golden Valley, 
MN; and Danell Yakich of St. Louis Park, MN); her two granddaughters 
(Sarah Yakich of Westminster, CO and Ali Yakich of Denver, CO); her 
niece, Lynn Kelly of Santa Fe, NM; and her nephew, Dennis McKinley of 
Buena Vista CO.

Services were Nov. 15 and in the care of the Archdiocese of Denver Catholica Funeral &amp; Cemetery Services.

softball.&nbsp; She met Eli Yakich Jr. at the boarding house where they both 
lived, and they married on Christmas Eve in 1950.&nbsp; They settled in 
Aurora, Colorado and Jo became an organist at St. Therese Church.&nbsp; For 
the next 40+ years, she accompanied Sunday mass (and the choir), as well
 as funerals and weddings for parishioners.&nbsp; During those years, Jo 
taught piano out of her home and was a substitute teacher while raising 
her four children.&nbsp; She continued to teach and give piano lessons for 
the next 15 years.&nbsp; After she let the school system Jo worked fulltime 
at a bank for a couple of years before joining the Aurora Municipal 
Court as a court reporter. Jo would work for the Court for 13 years 
before retiring.&nbsp;Jo and Eli retired to Salida, Colorado, and Jo became an organist and
 choir member of St. Joseph Catholic Church there.&nbsp; All who had the 
privilege of knowing Jo would use the same three words to describe her –
 sweet, genuine and kind.&nbsp; Jo affected many lives in her 95 years, but 
none more so than her loving family who will miss her always and love 
her forever.&nbsp;Jo&nbsp;was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Eli 
Yakich Jr.; her sister, Frances Rankin; her brother William McKinley; 
and her sister Eldora Verberg.&nbsp; Jo is survived by her children (Debra 
Yakich Montgomery of Parker, CO; David Yakich and wife Carrie of Arvada,
 Colorado; Diane Yakich Simondi and her husband Rudy of Golden Valley, 
MN; and Danell Yakich of St. Louis Park, MN); her two granddaughters 
(Sarah Yakich of Westminster, CO and Ali Yakich of Denver, CO); her 
niece, Lynn Kelly of Santa Fe, NM; and her nephew, Dennis McKinley of 
Buena Vista CO.Services were Nov. 15 and in the care of the Archdiocese of Denver Catholica Funeral &amp; Cemetery Services.

James L. Workman, age 80, of Concordia, KS, left this earthly life on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 surrounded by his family at the Bethany Home in Lindsborg, Kansas.&nbsp; He was born on April 25, 1942 in Concordia, Kansas to Bennie E. &amp; Eva E. (Ramseyer) Workman.

James attended Concordia schools while growing up in the Concordia community.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.&nbsp; He was honorably discharged.

He married Christine Huber on October 6, 1969 in Concordia, Kansas. To this union a son was born, Jimmy, Jr.

James was a heavy equipment operator for Cloud County Highway Department until his retirement.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #76 and V.F.W. Pos #588 both of Concordia.

James enjoyed playing cards, gambling, going to the casino, and junking.&nbsp; Most of all James loved spending time with his beloved family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Chris Workman, Concordia, son Jimmy Workman, Jr. (Heather), Concordia, KS; five grandchildren, Tracer, Teggan, Kailey, Keigan, and Tymber Workman. sisters, Sharon Roy (Rex), Clyde and Darlene Terry, Green River, WY; brothers Frank Workman (Penny), Evanston, WY, Don Ramseyer, Clyde; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Durl, Rex and Bennie (Jr) and Edwin Workman; sister Burnedette Workman.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.&nbsp; Following the visitation, the family will process to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.&nbsp;&nbsp; Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #76 and VFW Post #588 of Concordia.

Lenard Roy Adamson. She was the youngest of SIX children.

She is preceded in death by both her parents;&nbsp; her brothers Leonard, James (Jimmy), Gary, and Tim, and her sister Pauline Hamilton. 

She is survived by her adopted son Timothy (TJ) Adamson of Wichita, KS, an aunt, Marcene Powers of Easley, SC, aunt Alberta Stanlek, uncle Dwight McConnell both of Cedar Rapids, IA; countless nieces and nephews, cousins, and many family friends.

Denise went to Mt. Vernon Bible College and finished her degree at Brown Mackie, then later became the youth pastor of First Foursquare (Living Water) Church in Salina, KS. She was the arts and crafts instructor as well as a group leader at Camp Pomme De Terre in Missouri. She was incredibly involved in the church. She also worked several jobs as a chef.

Denise knew no stranger. She had a way of making everyone feel important, loved, and welcome. She always went above and beyond for those she loved and cared about. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

A celebration of life in her honor will be on Saturday, November 19th, at Emmanuel Foursquare Church in Salina, KS, at 10 a.m. Inurnment will proceed at Highland Cemetery in Minneapolis, KS. Her body was cremated, and Ryan Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Nathan P. Thompson, 44, Salina, was born November 21,&nbsp;1977, in St. Joseph, MO, and was found July 19, 2022, near Ellsworth, due to homicide.

Nathan was raised in Glasco and moved with his family to Minneapolis in 1994 where he attended Minneapolis High School. He enjoyed cooking, music, and although he struggled with mental illness, Nathan found solace when walking in nature and expressing his feelings through his poetry.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Denise Davies Thompson and his grandparents.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Arnold and Antonia Winberg; her son Robert L (Bobby) Albers, Jr.; great-grandson Gavin Brummett; and sister Violet Wiser.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter Laurie Debold (Jim) Tescott, granddaughters Jennifer Carlson Tescott, Lindsey Burgardt (Austin) Assaria, grandsons Rodney Brummett Jr (Nicki) Salina, Ricky Brummett (Kayte) Mulvane, Levi Debold (Emily) Salina, Jason Debold (Hillary) Bennington, and lifetime friend and business partner, former husband Bob Albers, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was always keeping busy in business, she as a partner in Bob Albers Construction and retiring in 1991.

Her many partnerships include The Red Pussy Cat Club, Truck Haven Truck Stop, Eddies Club and Lucky Bingo Parlor and many rentals that she and her son Bobby&nbsp; helped with.

She loved to travel, taking her kids and grandkids on cruises from Sweden to Cancun to Barbados and snow skiing in Colorado. There were&nbsp; family gatherings each year with family and friends and camping at the lake, and, mostly not to forget, gambling with her best friend George.

We will miss her spunk and spice, (Little Mighty Mouse). Knowing she is at peace now she will be so greatly missed.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 18, at Ryan Mortuary.

September 22, 1935 ~ November 13, 2022 (age 87)

SALINA -&nbsp;Kenneth Leroy Schnitker,87, passed away on November 13, 2022 at Salina Regional Health Center with his loving wife at his side.

Ken was born September 22, 1935 in Holcomb, Kansas to Paul William Schnitker and Nellie M. (Bender) Schnitker.&nbsp; After growing up in western Kansas, he resided in Lewis, Kansas.

He married Janie Schnitker October 17, 1987 in Offerle, Kansas. They then moved to Assaria followed by Salina, where they resided.

Ken had many careers from bodywork on cars to working for Wilbert Vault in Salina. He also worked in maintenance at Offerle School, Kansas Wesleyan and McCall Manor Retirement Center in Salina. He loved doing anything for the residents.

Ken loved his dogs Foxy and Toby. Foxy has passed on but Toby has been his constant companion for the last 17 years. He loved being around family, grandkids, and great-grandkids. They always brought a smile to his face. Camping as well as riding in or driving his '69 Chevelle brought him much happiness and peace.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janie; sons Kevin and Art (Tracy); stepson Rocky; daughter Laura (Joel); stepdaughter Angel (Kevin); 10 grandkids, 12 great-grandkids; brother Ray; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with funeral services following at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Ryan Mortuary.&nbsp; Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, New Cambria.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Gordon Byron Boone, 62, of Salina, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, He was born September 9, 1960, in Salina, Kansas.

Gordon attended Salina Central High School, then joined the Marines. He later worked construction, then an assistant manger for Taco John’s in Salina. He spent the last 25 years as a devoted dad to his son Eddie.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Betty Boone (Burnell), daughter Trista J. Boone, sister Gayle L. Boone.

Survivors include his son Edward D. Boone of Salina and sister Gwynne Brown of Salina.
