SALINE COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 3:30p.m. Friday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Chevy Spark driven by Makenna Bartholomew, 16, Gypsum, was eastbound in the 6600 Block of Kansas 4 Highway. The vehicle rear-ended a 2008 Southeast of Saline Bluebird school bus driven by Cori Tingen-Sidel, 41, Assaria, that was stopped eastbound at 6604 E K4 Highway dropping a student off.
A private vehicle transported Bartholomew for treatment. Tingen-Sidel and 29 passengers on the bus were not injured.
The drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
A Southeast of Saline school bus was rear-ended on Kansas 4 highway late Friday afternoon, according to a social media report from the Kansas Highway Patrol
The 29 occupants of bus were not injured, according to Trooper Ben Gardner. The driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to local hospital.
