Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Maxwell Thille is alleged to have followed a 25-year-old woman in his car in the 700 block of Cedar Creek around 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening. The woman pulled into a driveway and Thille drove his car in the rear passenger side of the woman’s car. Her 3-year-old daughter, and 6-year-old son were in the back seat.
Thille then parked his car behind the woman’s car and got out of his car and used some type of blunt instrument to break out the right rear tail light before leaving. Thille was stopped a short time later by police on Smolan Road and taken into custody. No one was injured.
