They resided on the McCall farmstead where Duane grew up, until 1961, when they moved to Bavaria. Together, they raised four wonderful children. She taught piano and organ for over 50 years. She also served as a volunteer in many community organizations including the Salina Symphony, Staccato Notes Music Club, Salina Piano Teachers League, Ladies of the Moose, Ladies of VFW Aux, and The Dizzy Fingers Music Club.
