KSN Chief meteorologist Lisa Teachman will bring the KSN Storm Tracker 3 storm spotting vehicle, a mobile weather center that allows KSN meteorologists to track severe weather across Kansas. She’ll show off the latest weather and mobile broadcasting technology to communities across her home state to help them prepare for when strong storms approach.
Kansas Today morning anchors, Gwyn Bevel and Bret Buganski will travel the state in an RV, getting to know those in the communities we serve and sharing their stories. Bevel is excited to meet veterans in these communities, as she honors veterans each week in her Veteran Salute series, telling stories of the brave men and women who have served our country. Buganski, who heads up investigative reporting for KSN, is looking forward to hearing the stories our viewers have to share and exploring the state.
KSN News at Noon anchor Stephanie Bergmann is no stranger to the Sunflower State, a Kansas native who has worked at KSN for nearly 30 years. She shares stories of the unique attractions and events in KSN’s Main Street Kansas series nearly every week on KSN News and is looking forward to finding more interesting locations to share.
Jillian Carroll, host of Good Day Kansas, KSN’s lifestyle and entertainment show, is also excited to meet viewers throughout the week-long trip. She’ll introduce viewers to local businesses, share community events and other hidden treasures across the state.
Kansans are encouraged to follow along on the journey by going to KSN.com to see stories from our road trip. They can also follow our journey on the KSN Facebook & Twitter (@KSNNews) pages, and by following #KSNSummerRoadTrip. KSN will also be broadcasting live throughout the trip.
The schedule for the road trip follows. Please keep in mind that the packed itinerary of the road trip will lead to brief stops in each of the communities. If you’d like to come out to say hello and tell us what is great about your hometown, don’t be late, so we can get back on the road! Please also be aware that our schedule is approximate and may be impacted by travel delays. You can also snap a photo of the KSN team KSN’s Summer Road Trip Photo Contest!
