Anita Irene Bogart, 69,was welcomed into the arms of Jesus, Wednesday July 17th 2019. She passed in her home surrounded by her family and loving care givers of Dickinson County Hospice. She was born in rural Abilene Kansas to John and Laurel (Fields) Frick April 30th 1950.
She attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High school in 1968.
On May 31st 1969 she married her high school sweetheart and best friend Steve Bogart.
They made their home in Emporia Kansas while she attended Emporia State for her degree in elementary education.
After graduating in 1971 they returned to the Rural Center community where Anita taught school in Navarre Kansas until they started their family. They spent their married life working side by side farming the land and raising livestock in the community they grew up in.
Anita and Steve raise three sons to which they worked to teach their love of our Lord and Savior, their ability to work hard and make it enjoyable, and their love for their friends and neighbors.
Anita was an active volunteer and member of the Holland Sunflower 4H club, Farm Wife Friends Unit, Gideon’s International, Dickinson County Republican Women’s and in her church and community.
Family, friends, neighbors and even salesmen were always greeted with a warm welcome and a meal. Anyone who entered their home as guests, left as friends.
Anita was proceeded in death by her husband Steve Bogart, and infant son Kody, her brother Roger Frick, and both of her parents John and Laurel Frick.
She is survived by her sons, Kasey Bogart of Salina, Kris and Katie Bogart of Abilene, Kelly and Kayla Bogart of Abilene, a brother Myron Frick of Wichita, sister-in-law Rhonda & Mike Goodin of Derby, Mother in law Eva Bogart of Salina, Grandkids Mikayla and Brady Bogart of Spring Hill, Clarrisa Bogart of Abilene, Steven and Stockton Bogart of Abilene, Kody Bogart of Abilene, and many nieces, nephews that love her very much.
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, July 21st, at the Danner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Monday, July 22nd, at the Abilene Community Bible Church with Pastor Lindsey Brummer officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery at the Mt. Pleasant Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to Gideon’s International or Hospice of Dickinson County.
