Maurice “Maury” Eugene Diehl, 84, of Salina, Kan., passed away June 10, 2019. Maurice was born Sept. 9, 1934, in Tescott, Kan., to Leo and Rosa (Peterson) Diehl. He graduated from Tescott High School in 1952 and attended Kansas State University. Maurice married Letha Kissick, Aug. 22, 1954. Maurice managed the Tescott Cheese Company until its closure, then worked for the USDA as a dairy inspector until retirement.
Survivors include: daughters, Robin Blake (Dale) of Salina, and Mindy Yount (Ron) of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Tim Blake (Shelly), Wesley Blake (Kristin), Ryan Blake (Samantha), Steven Blake, Kasey Yount, and Kristopher Yount; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Marge Percival (Steve) of Galva, Kan., and Melva Burmaster (Dennis) of Salina. He was preceded in death by: wife, Letha “Lee”; and sister, Marilyn Flohrschutz.
Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13, at First Covenant Church, Salina, followed by lunch, and graveside services in Beverly, Kan.
